The Common Program Requirements for one year fellowships

The Common Program Requirements for one year fellowships were endorsed by the ACGME Board of Directors at its February 2008 meeting and will be added to the program requirements for each one year subspecialty as those program requirements undergo the mandatory 5 year major revision. To date the Board has approved the incorporation of these requirements into the program requirements for the following subspecialties:

Procedural Dermatology – effective 7/1/2010
Diagnostic Radiology Subs – effective 7/1/2010
Abdominal Diagnostic Radiology – effective 7/1/2010
Pediatric Diagnostic Radiology – effective 7/1/2010
Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Radiology - effective 7/1/2010
Spinal Cord Injury Medicine – effective September 16, 2008
Pediatric Rehabilitation – effective September 16, 2008
Pediatric Urology – effective July 1, 2009
Surgical Critical Care – effective September 16, 2008
Pediatric Transplant Hepatology – effective November 16, 2008

As the Board approves the incorporation of these common requirements into the remaining one year subspecialty requirements, program directors and DIOs will be notified through the ACGME weekly e-Communication. In addition, prior to submission to the Board for approval, revised requirements are posted on our website for review and comment and program directors and DIOs are provided with an opportunity to comment.
