ACGME seeking nominations of residents or resident teams for David C. Leach, MD, Award
CHICAGO, May 14, 2010 –The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education is accepting nominations for the 2011 David C. Leach, MD, Award. The annual award is given each year to five residents or resident teams. The award recognizes resident or resident team achievement in improving residency programs by, for example, fostering innovation, increasing efficiency, improving communication and collaboration, or advancing humanism in patient care and relations among health care professionals.
Nominations must include a completed application form and three letters of support. More information is available on the ACGME website, www.acgme.org, in the “ACGME Awards” section. The deadline is July 1.
The five residents or resident teams chosen for the award will receive a monetary gift, a plaque and travel expenses for the 2011 ACGME Annual Educational Conference, which will be held March 3-6 at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee.
