As the ACGME works to become more responsive in its provision of timely and complete data, there will be an increasing focus on annual data collection and outcomes. Our data systems will change to accommodate these new data collection needs. As one change in this process, summative resident evaluations will soon be done directly within the Accreditation Data System using a new assessment tool developed from the ACGME's Milestone Project.

Therefore, the stand alone evaluation tool, the Resident Competency Evaluation System (currently used by approximately 50 programs), will not be supported after June 30, 2012. However, resident evaluations completed through June 30, 2012 will be available in a read only format through June 30, 2013.
